Formica table top turned ottoman

I was given a table with a formica top.  The legs can be used for numerous projects, but not so much the table.  In my determination to not have to pitch it, I came up with a way to put it to use.

An ottoman!

Unfortunately, there are not a lot of photos of this one.  I am working on a big project right now (I'm so excited to reveal it hopefully later in the week).  Between steps on the large project, this one was put together.

When you can't find it, make it!

I have been wanting something to hang above my television for a while.  It needed to be quite long and have a shabby look to it.  In all honesty I wanted some architectural salvage, but wasn't finding anything, at least not in the budget.

Turning a hutch into a buffet

This hutch was a curbside find.  Solid wood.  Probably from a desk.  Lets see how you can add legs and a bottom to create a nice open buffet or bookcase.

Hiding imperfections

Do you ever find a piece that is so nice, except for that one spot?  This chair was like that, but aren't we all?  There are a few things we can do to hide imperfections- wood filler, painting, covering with fabric...the latter is what I chose to do to this seat.

Building a settee

If you have seen how Trios Petites Filles transformed a foot board into a settee then you know how amazing that was!  I was so inspired I set out to find a foot board so I, too could make something similar.  Hers is by far more glamorous, but I love how mine turned out as well.

I started with one side of a crib...

Another use for Mirror Harps

I picked up this large shutter door on one of my treasure hunts.  Since I am in the mode of building with what I have, it finally received some attention.
