Dry erase calendar

I love to make one of a kind things.  I picked up this photo display at a garage sale in hopes to use it for a certain project.  Well, that didn't work out.  The photo areas were just too big to fit the piece I needed them for.  So, I needed an alternative.

How to turn a dresser into a wine buffet

I got this dresser from a friend.  I was sad to find out that the drawers were shot.  You know not all drawers are made of solid wood.  This was one of them, so when the tracks went bad, they were nearly irreparable.  It sat in my garage for a few weeks until one day I decided to gut the whole thing.  It started off as a possible book shelf.

The Making of a Faux French Shutter

This is another door re purpose.  These hollow, plain, closet doors were a freebie find.  You never know what you can do with something, until the inspiration hits.

Craft Show Sellers

This post is looking into what sells for me at craft shows.  I am gearing up for my summer one.  I only do 2 per year.  If you are one who does these shows, I want to hear from you!  Please tell us what sells best for you, any tips and tricks you have for displays and even making set up/transport easier.

Cribs and cupboards

What can you make with cribs and cupboards you ask?  Lots of things.  This project is a new marriage between the two.  I have never done one like this before but it was very easy!

A few painted pieces

I like to paint furniture...there I said it.  Even more than that I like to make new things.  Today I wanted to share with you a few painted pieces I have done recently.  I have a dresser, buffet, and china cabinet to show you.  I hope you like them.

My first time caning

I stepped out of my comfort zone for this project.  Whenever I find a piece of furniture that needs new caning,  I usually find a different way to fix it.  I replace the seat with a board and upholster it or use webbing.  In this case, that couldn't be done.

Building a conservatory with old windows

I stated at the beginning of the week that I was going to be doing posts about doors.  Well, I guess I lied.  Although the previous 2 posts this week were about doors, this one is about windows.  One of the windows is a door, does that count?
I have admired many conservatories or green houses, if you will.  I finally finished one.  This project started months ago.  I was undecided how to do a base and legs, then I needed to collect some items to add some detail.

This week is going to be all about doors.  I have 2 great projects to share with you that use closet doors.  This first one uses one set and a bunch of scraps to create a hall tree.
